A week after the English Debate Competition, Nur Amalina Jamaluddin represented Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Taman Keramat in a Public Speaking Competition. It was held in SMK Seri Kundang on April the 13th. The public speaker of this school was guided by Madam Azamima Razali, an English teacher of SMART in preparing her text and brushing up the skills to be a good speaker. Amalina prepared a text entitled “TV Brings Bad Effects to Children’s Life in Today’s World”. Though the victory wasn’t hers, the precious opportunity of being given the chance to speak in public was the thing she valued the most. She now has the guts to speak in public better than before. Through this, she learns to appreciate the arts of language that she has found in English.
